The Realtor's opening for the Cosmopolitan was February 14th at the Four Seasons Hotel at 9am, and it was an amazing success, far surpassing the previous Trump Towers opening! We are still waiting to hear exact figures, but lines were out the door through the day as Realtors scrambled to secure units for their buyers. Sophisticated buyers from Miami and New York hopped last minute flights to get their checks in on time and sales were limited to one per buyer. When we left at 2 pm (after standing in lines since 5 am) deposits on the scarce one bedroom units had been raised to $100,000, and at day's end only a few of the 900+ units scheduled to be released were still available.
But for those who missed out on opening day there is still good news! There are a few select units still available and the developer withheld approximately 350 great units on the top 5 floors and on the Strip side of each floor and they will be released shortly. It is also anticipated that there will be some fallouts, so back up reservations will be accepted until the units go to contract about mid to late April. Deposits are refundable until date of contract, and checks should be made payable to Nevada Title Company.
